In 2013 Scales & Models was commissioned to make over 200 miniature penguins to decorate the Brut Champagne Window at Selfridges along Oxford Street.
The penguins were hand sculpted and a series of moulds and casts were produced to achieve the quantity required. Once the casts were made they were hand painted and the creative team at Selfridges finished them off by adding the bow ties and party hats.
Materials included sculpting clay, wire, silicone rubber, casting resin and paints.
