The brief was to design and manufacture a bar set up including all the furniture, fonts/taps and bar top. The furniture and the bar top was all designed by us in-house, the fonts we created in collaboration with Alec Doherty.
The furniture was all CNC'd out of 60 full sheets of plywood and eventually assembled by our finest craftsmen. The bar was built using structural materials, then topped up with a mild steel sheet using a black patina surface treatment which eventually was coated with a powder coating glass finish.
The bar fonts were all 3D printed in a FDM printer using ABS. The parts were then primed and sanded enough times until we achieved the required surface finish, then masked and painted as per original designs. The parts were all finished in a 2K high gloss coating.
