Commissioned by Leslie Barany and H.R.Giger, 2004.
This scale model was created through a close collaboration with Les and Giger himself, inspired by a series of sketches, we were able to produce this train model.
In 2003 there was a Levi's TV Advert, which was also inspired by the same sketches, but since it was a digital model, designed to be shown on television as a fast moving train, the fine detail was never a priority.
Making this piece allowed us to study Giger's Sketches more closely and by expressing his concepts, using fine detail as a priority and since this was built as a sculptural still physical model, the detail can be appreciated.
This train model was first exhibited publicly in 2004, at the opening of H.R.Giger's show "H.R. Giger retrospective" in the gallery Halle Saint Pierre, Montmartre, Paris.
