Commissioned by Pod-Trak and Heathrow airport, to build a bespoke R/C race track and setting up 15x R/C cars, which ran a bit slower than usual and made racing much more competitive and fun.
This race track was designed and built in-house by Scales & models team and it was used for a "Family Fun Day Out" event at Virgin Hangar, Heathrow T5, in August 2017.
The r/c track was all built in plywood and has different level changes throughout the track which made it a little extra fun to race. The cars were all the same models. Losi 1/24 scale rally cars with brushless motors. But we upgraded the battery system to run 2x (twin) 1500mah batteries in parallel. Resulting in the r/c cars lasting a solid 5 hours before charging which was incredible as the cars twin battery mod virtually lasted the whole day!
