At Scales & Models we offer a variety of architectural model making services which serve many purposes. These include urban studies, landscaping, terrain studies, sketch models for design developing, public realms, facade details, massing models and many others to mention.
There are generally two distinct sides to this services though. Sketch models, which are seen as more affordable design developing tools and generally can be produced swiftly using lower budget materials, as well as final presentation models which are generally much more refined in detail and are commonly used for marketing, planning applications and exhibition purposes.
No model is too small or too large for us to build though and we are happy working on a model for a day using simple cardboard and basic tools or we can have a team of 6 or more model makers, working for a couple of months on a single model. Using a blend of traditional skills and digital manufacturing processes.
We are mostly commissioned by architects and developers in a corporate environment, but we work with design students in London, offering model making services and general advise and mentoring on the subject.
